The Toxic Trade Tour is hitting the road. From late October to late November we’ll be travelling across the EU to expose the EU-Mercosur deal, a toxic agreement that fuels climate breakdown, pesticide trade, and injustice.
Why now?
On 24 November, the EU Foreign Affairs Council may take a decision on the deal. A formal signing could follow on 5 December at the Mercosur summit in Brazil. The European Parliament vote is expected shortly after.
Why is it toxic?
The EU-Mercosur deal would:
- Boost trade in banned EU pesticides exported to Latin America
- Reimport these toxins to Europe via contaminated food
- Harm farmers on both sides of the Atlantic, workers, and biodiversity, while enriching agribusiness giants
- Undermine climate action, food sovereignty, and social justice
The tour calls on EU leaders to say NO to the toxic EU-Mercosur trade deal and say yes to food sovereignty, climate justice, and fairer cooperation.
