Alto al Acuerdo Global y Comercial “modernizado” entre la Unión Europea y México
Las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, sindicatos, defensores/as de derechos humanos, de bienestar animal y del medio ambiente que firmamos la presente carta nos dirigimos a las y los responsables políticas/os de México y de la Unión Europea (UE) para exigir que no ratifiquen ni el Tratado de Libre Comercio entre la Unión Europea y México (TLCUEM) “modernizado” ni el Acuerdo Global que contiene un apartado sobre protección de inversiones y un mecanismo controversial que permite el arbitraje inversor-Estado (ISDS, por sus siglas en inglés). Stop the “modernised” Global and Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and Mexico
We, the civil society organisations, trade unions, human rights defenders, animal welfare campaigners and environmentalists who have signed this letter, are writing to the political leaders of Mexico and the European Union (EU) to urge them not to ratify either the “modernised” Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the European Union and Mexico or the Global Agreement, which contains a section on investment and the controversial investor-state dispute settlement mechanism (ISDS). Les organisations de la société civile, les syndicats, les défenseurs des droits humains, du bien-être animal et de l’environnement qui signons la présente lettre nous adressons aux responsables politiques du Mexique et de l’Union européenne (UE) pour exiger qu’ils ne ratifient ni le Traité de libre-échange entre l’Union européenne et le Mexique (TLCUEM) « modernisé », ni l’Accord global qui contient un volet sur la protection des investissements et un mécanisme controversé permettant l’arbitrage investisseur-État (ISDS, selon son acronyme anglais). Wir, die zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen, Gewerkschaften, Menschenrechts-, Tierschutz- und Umweltaktivisten, die diesen Aufruf unterzeichnen, wenden uns an die politischen Entscheidungsträger*innen in Mexiko und der Europäischen Union (EU) und fordern, dass weder das „modernisierte“ Handelsabkommen zwischen der Europäischen Union und Mexiko noch das Globalabkommen ratifiziert werden.
