Donald Trump is using tariffs and trade threats to bully other countries in order to maintain US global power. Two webinars in November 2025, organised by the European Trade Justice Coalition and the Our World Is Not For Sale (OWINFS) network brought together experts from the trade justice movement to talk through what is going on.
The speakers in the first webinar were Diego López González (International Trade Union Confederation), Morgan Ody (La Vía Campesina) and Melanie Foley (Public Citizen) and the webinar was moderated by Luciana Ghiotto (Transnational Institute / Plataforma AL sin TLC). In the second webinar we heard from Bila Aziziah (Indonesia Coalition for Economic Justice/Puanifesto), Adam Wolfenden (Pacific Network on Globalisation) and Melanie Foley (Public Citizen) and the moderater was Lyda Fernanda (Our World Is Not For Sale Network).
